Throughout the UK, and beyond, schools and their Heads often wish they had the opportunity, and time, to forge more relevant links with former students. It might well be the need for a speaker, a wise business voice for a Careers Fair or simply the fact that the school community should be so much more than a transitory phase for students passing through as a means to achieving a successful career.
All three schools, the alumni associations and The Whitgift Foundation are now jointly launching an initiative which will demonstrate, in very practical terms, a real determination to identify opportunities for creating an enhanced relationship with those who have been educated at one of the Foundation schools.
So what's different from the terrific work already done by the OPOGA, TMWA and OWA?
Quite simply the infrastructure that is now in place will support the Head and alumni associations in facilitating more events, greater opportunities for social interaction and an opportunity for you to communicate what you would like from the school and your alumni organisation.
There are staff focused on ensuring that accurate records are held, combined events are planned and promoted, and former students who wish to get more involved (in whatever way) can make contact. We will happily meet with you to hear your thoughts and plans for how you can help your old school.
The 'Stay in Touch' campaign is setting out to strengthen and re-establish contact with former students in this country and world-wide. It has got off to a terrific start and online registration is now available to everyone. Please take a few minutes to go to the Development and Registration page on this site or your school home page and follow the link to register your current details and contact information. The sites will be developed further over the coming months and will be of increasing benefit to former students wishing to stay in touch with each other as well.
