New employment workshops for carers at the Carers Support Centre, George Street, Croydon.

Does your caring role affect your ability to work? You're not alone. Out of the six and a half million carers across the UK, two million have given up their job because of caring, with three million reducing their working hours.

With all the complexities of balancing work with care, it's important to get the right support and advice. To help carers in this situation, the Carers Support Centre based in George Street, Croydon, is running drop-in employment workshops with Gateway Employment. Workshops are open to carers looking for full-time or part-time work, and for former carers looking to return to work. The workshops can provide information and advice on CVs, interviews, skills and training.

Workshops will be held fortnightly on Tuesday mornings, 10.30am - 12.30pm at the Carers Support Centre.

The next workshop will be Tuesday 18 April, 10.30am - 12.30pm. There's no need to book - just turn up and get one-to-one support and advice.
