Old Palace Senior School takes part in Christmas Jumper Day for worthy cause.
Pupils and staff at Old Palace Seniors raised money for Save the Children by wearing their favourite festive jumper on the school’s first ever Christmas Jumper Day. Not only was it a time to donate to a worthy cause, it was also a great time to get creative as fairy lights, tinsel and sparkly decorations were all used to great effect – especially by Sarah in Year 8 who won an Amazon voucher for ‘best jumper’.
Pupils really enjoyed the day; as one said: “it was really fun and we helped a good cause – everyone looked very nice and festive, including the teachers”.
Christmas Jumper Day is organised by the Save the Children charity, who work to improve children’s lives both in the UK and internationally. Old Palace's Christmas Jumper Day raised £280. Donations that are raised help the charity give children a brighter future by providing them with essentials such as healthcare, education, protection and food to the millions of children around the world who are missing out on the most basic support.
