BAFTA Young Games Designers 2016

Old Palace students part of the BAFTA Young Games Designers Finalists 2016.

Old Palace is in the fortunate position to have not one, but four girls through to the final ten of the prestigious BAFTA Young Games Designers Competition 2016. This is a national competition to encourage students to think creatively in Computer Science with the chance to turn a hobby into a career by offering access to meet professionals in the gaming industry and a better understanding of the wide range of jobs available.

To enter, applicants were asked to submit a gaming idea that had to be original with the consideration of audience, platform and how the game was going to be played. After a rigorous round of judging panels, four Old Palace girls were among the ten finalists in the Game Concept category to go through to the finals. The games are as follows:

Fluffology - Ria Year 6

The girls have been invited to attend the awards ceremony on the 23rd July.
