Providing care to the elderly in Croydon and the surrounding area is one of the Whitgift Foundation's primary charitable goals. Our three homes all offer enhanced levels of care and encourage an active and sociable lifestyle.

The Almshouses

Sheltered housing located in the centre of Croydon.

Located in the middle of Croydon, the 400 year-old Whitgift Almshouses offer residents a haven of tranquillity and security. Active elderly people of modest circumstances and communicant members of The Church of England may apply to live in cosy, self-contained units.

Whitgift House

Sheltered accommodation and full nursing care facilities, located in South Croydon.

Set in the grounds of Whitgift School, sheltered accommodation is provided in 34 one-bedroom flats. Full nursing care is also provided for up to 37 residents. The home offers excellent standards of care and facilities in very comfortable surroundings.

Wilhelmina House

Residential care located just outside the centre of Croydon.

This purpose-built home offers a high standard of care for 20 residents. A range of social activities also take place for those who wish to join in.
