About Croydon Carers Information Service

The Carers' Information Service is part of the Whitgift Foundation. We offer free information and support to carers and the professionals who work with them. We offer the following services:

Enquiry Service: carers and professionals can ring, email or write to us for support and information on all matters related to being a carer.

Factsheets: we produce a series of free factsheets on a range of topics. These provide an in-depth guide to some of the most commonly asked questions by carers and are updated regularly.

Newsletter: we produce an informative newsletter called Carers' News. This aims to keep readers up to date with all the latest news, events and groups for carers both locally and nationally.

How To…A Guide for Carers in Croydon: we publish this guide for carers on a bi-annual basis. It has also been converted to an online Directory of Services on our website.

Events: three times a year we provide outings for carers and the cared for person. We also organise events to tie in with Carers Rights Day and Carers Week.

The Carers' Information Service also supports Carers Contactline, an umbrella organisation of four charities supporting carers, who are based in the same building.
