Flu jab from Carers Support Centre

The seasonal flu vaccine is the best way to protect yourself and the person you care for from flu.

All carers in Croydon and surrounding areas are invited to get their free flu jab ahead of the winter months.

The Carers Support Centre is working with the NHS to try and reduce the worry of becoming unwell if you are a carer by offering the free jabs.

Every Wednesday throughout October, the Carers Support Centre at 24 George Street, CR0 1PB, will run Flu vaccinations for carers aged 13 and above on the following dates and times:

  • 7 October, 10am - 1pm
  • 14 October, 1 - 4pm
  • 21 October, 10am - 1pm
  • 28 October, 1 - 4pm

There is no need to book, you can just turn up on the day. You do not have to be a Croydon resident and ID or medical information is not required.

Other people eligible for a flu jab include:

  • Anyone aged 65 or over.
  • A person under 65 but at risk of chronic heart disease, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, chronic liver disease, chronic neurological disease.
  • Anyone living in a long-stay residential/nursing home or other long stay facility.
  • Front line health, education or social care workers.

Open Monday to Friday, 10am-4pm, information and advice is available at the Centre for carers on any aspect of their caring role as well as a range of social activities such as ballroom dancing and singing sessions - just drop-in to find out more.
