Lord Professor Winston pays a visit to Whitgift School and enthrals with genetics lecture.
As part of the Michaelmas Term’s Academic Enrichment Lecture Series, Whitgift was delighted to welcome Lord Professor Robert Winston, who visited on 25 September. After meeting with a select group of Sixth Formers for a Q&A session, Lord Winston presented to an audience of Upper and Lower School students, as well as staff, parents and friends of the School.
Lord Winston, Professor of Science and Society, and Emeritus Professor of Fertility Studies at Imperial College London, is particularly well known for his work in the area of human fertility. Aside from work as a TV presenter, he is also an author of prize-winning books, including What Makes Me Me. Lord Winston sits on the Labour Party benches in the House of Lords, and speaks regularly on education, science, medicine and the arts.
