Old Palace Year 2 students perform Scottish assembly to audience at Whitgift House. 

Whitgift House residents and 1596 Clubmembers welcomed Old Palace Year 2 students to perform their wonderful Scottish themed assembly on Wednesday 7 March.

Smiles and joy were brought to everyone as students read poetry and performed Scottish dances. Students showed residents their home-made felt tartans before handing out a generous gift of shortbread biscuits.

1596 Club member, Derrick said: “It’s so nice to bring the different generations of the Foundation together. We’ve had a wonderful morning.”

Year 2 student said: “We love performing and meeting the people who live at Whitgift House, everyone is friendly.”

1596 Club member, Beryl gushed: “Seeing the little ones brought back precious memories of when my children and grandchild were young.”
