Old Palace student's engineering design wins The London Leaders Award 2017.

Congratulations to Old Place Year 8 student, Vishali, who has won The London Leaders Award 2017 with her design for a Glucose Sensor Watch.

Year 8 pupils were asked to research engineering and interview a practicing engineer to inspire them in answering the question: “If you were an Engineer, what would you do?” Students then identified an issue and invented an engineered solution to that problem. In her 350 word pitch Vishali designed a piece of equipment that senses glucose levels in diabetic patients. Her entry had to pass several rounds of judging with stiff competition before being selected to win.

In addition, four students from Old Palace Preparatory, Amber, Isobel, Santana and Iman, were Highly Commended by the judging panel. All of these students work will be displayed at the public exhibition in London.
