Whitgift Care joined local community for Trinity's annual Christmas community party.
Whitgift Care residents joined 140 guests from the local community to enjoy Trinity School’s annual Christmas party on 21 November 2018.
Many guests, who joined us from local care homes and neighbourhood care schemes, have been coming to the party for a number of years and look forward to the party every year.
Lower School students enjoyed serving tables and chatting to guests throughout the evening. During the festivities, guests saw a ‘drama club reboot’ of A Christmas Carol, along with music from Big Band 2, a clarinet quartet, a harpist, a piano solo and a Christmas carol sing-a-long from our Sixth Form choir. With the added fun of a bingo and a raffle, the evening ended with a Christmas toast with mince pies and sherry for the guests.
Claire Burrage, Head of Community Action at Trinity School, said: “This is such a wonderful event, and the perfect start to the festive season. Many of our guests do not have family locally and look forward each year to the opportunity to come into the School. The sense of community that this event evokes is everything that I hoped it would be, and I am hugely grateful to the students, parents and all the staff at Trinity who gave up their time to come and help make the event so special.”
Whitgift Care guest visiting the School said: “Thank you so much to all at Trinity for another wonderful visit. How clever all you boys are and so kind and helpful.”
