Mofe Wilkey and Gabriel Ibitoye will represent their country in the U18s and U17s respectively.
Following a superb season last year and a great start to the new academic year, two Trinity pupils have been selected to represent their country. Mofe Wilkey (Year 13) will play for the England U18 rugby team and Gabriel Ibitoye (Year 12) will play for England U17 (pictured L to R).
Head of Rugby Aaron Liffchak commented: “It’s a fantastic testament to the hard work both these players have been putting in over the past year to be rewarded with this selection. The work that goes on behind the scenes at Trinity to enable boys like Mofe and Gabriel to play at such a high level is astonishing; we are all very proud of what they have both already achieved and of their aspirations for the future.”
Rugby at Trinity is going from strength to strength, as can be seen from the good results this season in all the different year groups. The achievements of Mofe and Gabriel, among others have been an inspiration to all rugby players at the School. They benefit hugely from the fantastic coaches and exceptional facilities at Trinity, a fact that has been recognised by the French national rugby team who has chosen the School as their training base for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
