Whitgift School's partnership with Royal Philharmonic Orchestra continues in March
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Whitgift Chamber Orchestra will once again join forces to perform dazzling classics at the Royal Festival Hall and will be accompanied by the talented choirs of Old Palace of John Whitgift. Running for one day only on 26 March, the concert will include classics such as Tchaikovsky’s magnificent Symphony No.5 and enchanting choral works by Parry and Walton. With a splendid rendition of Glazunov’s dazzling Violin Concerto, performed by Whitgift International Music Competition 2013 winner Dan-Iulian Druțac, impressive royal fanfares from the best of brass, and an epic masterpiece from celebrated composer Karl Jenkins, this concert promises to be a truly memorable event.
Also taking part will be the Whitgift Choristers and Chamber Choir, Whitgift-Minster Choral Society, Whitgift First Form Choir and the Croydon Minster choir in a sensational evening for all the family combining orchestral and choral grandeur.
