Wilhelmina House achieves top 5 star hygiene pass in recent food standards inspection.
Congratulations are in order once again for Wilhelmina House as the Home’s kitchen celebrates their top five star Good Hygiene Award achieving all of the criteria set by the Governments’ Food Standards Agency.
This comes shortly after an excellent unannounced CQC inspection report which took place in November where the Home was rated as ‘Good’ with a particular praise for staff members’ skills, knowledge and experience.
When asked what this means to the Care Home, Deputy Care Manager Trudi Howson, Wilhelmina House, said "This is great news for the Home, especially closely following our brilliant CQC inspection report. More than ever we are looking to continue improving our services to our residents and receiving the top five star rating greatly reinforces this."
Martin Kuevi, the Wilhelmina House cook said, “We welcome this very good news. Despite currently undergoing major building works resulting in working under tight constraint conditions, it’s an excellent achievement for both the staff and the services we provide for our residents.”
Residents will surely be in for a festive treat at Christmas with roast Turkey with chestnut stuffing, pigs in blankets covered in rich cranberry sauce gravy and Christmas pudding topped in brandy sauce being some of the delicious meals on the Christmas lunch menu.
