Trinity's Mofe Wilkey promoted to England U18s for showdown with France in February.
Trinity School student Mofe Wilkey (year 13) has been selected for the England U18 team to play France U18 at Doncaster Rugby Club’s Castle Park on Sunday 22nd February 2015.
This has been a superb season for Mofe who has previously played for the England U17 team, and is currently a member of the Harlequins U18 team and plays for the Trinity 1st XV.
Mofe, who is a loosehead prop, is very dynamic, a fantastic carrier with ball in hand and a dominant defender.
Mofe said, "Its very exciting to get the chance to play for England, I'm just very grateful for the opportunity and am looking forward to the challenge."
Head of Rugby, Aaron Liffchak commented: "Mofe has had an outstanding season this year, not just for the school but on the international stage, his selection for England U18s is testament to his hard work, focus and attitude. We are all very excited to watch Mofe's career in rugby progress".
Rugby at Trinity is going from strength to strength, as can be seen from the good results this season in all the different year groups. Mofe’s achievements, amongst others, have been an inspiration to all rugby players at the School.
Pupils benefit hugely from the fantastic coaches and exceptional facilities at Trinity, a fact that has been recognised by the French national rugby team who has chosen the School as their training base for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
