For the second year in a row, Trinity students achieved over 90% A*-B grades at A level. This was considerably better than we had been expecting and is a great tribute to both the boys and the staff who worked extremely hard to achieve these results. Well over 60% of grades were at A* and A. Almost 60% of the year group achieved at least 2 A grades with almost a half of all students gaining 3 A’s or better.
It was a particular delight to see Junaid Masud’s results. Last year Junaid’s family home was burnt down and his two sisters were killed. Junaid was very badly burned but throughout this year he has responded with exceptional bravery and emotional resilience that has been genuinely inspiring to see. He achieved an A* and 2 A grades and so has a place to read Medicine at Imperial.
At AS Level, the Lower Sixth also produced a highly respectable set of grades matching the highest ever A/B rate of last year. Particular congratulations go to Richard Ethier who amassed an excellent 5 A grades
I would like to warmly congratulate the boys and staff for all the hard work, determination and support that went into achieving them. We are rightly proud of those who have achieved a string of top grades; we are equally as proud of those whose achievements, in terms of grades, may look more modest on paper, but who had to push themselves beyond a comfort zone to gain them.
