Schools
The Whitgift Foundation was founded to "provide education for the young" as a significant part of its establishment as a charity back in the sixteenth century.
The Foundation comprises three independent day schools:
- Old Palace of John Whitgift: A girls' school for pupils aged 4-19 years, incorporating The Limes a co-educational Day Nursery for both boys and girls up to 4 years.
- Trinity School: For boys aged 10-19 years
- Whitgift School: For boys aged 10-19 years
Over 2800 children are educated at the schools, with over 43% receiving some form of financial assistance through The Whitgift Foundation’s generous £4million bursary scheme.
