Old Palace School students take part in the annual RSC Chemistry Olympiad
Old Palace students took part in the annual RSC Chemistry Olympiad, which is the leading chemistry competition for Year 13 students in secondary education across the UK.
Run annually, the Olympiad is an opportunity for teachers to challenge their chemistry students, helping them to develop creative thinking, and apply their existing knowledge in new and interesting contexts. Participants are tested on many varied topics of which they may have no previous experience, to undergraduate level.
Mr Poole said: “Twelve students took part and we are very proud to announce Bronze awards were achieved by Carol, Meera, Iman and Aysha, and Silver awards by Alice and Shania.
This represents a record number of certificates for Old Palace in what is an extremely difficult competition. Congratulations to all.”
