Trinity Student wins HSBC and British Council Mandarin Chinese Speaking Competition.
Trinity School are delighted that Second Year student Arun won the HSBC and British Council Mandarin Chinese Speaking Competition, the only speaking competition for Mandarin across the whole of the UK.
Arun gained a place in the hotly contested final along with 14 other schools, including St. Paul’s Girls School, Dulwich College and Westminster School, following the Regional heat in December.
The final was held at the British Museum on 7 February. Arun’s performance was exceptional, with eloquent speech and precise pronunciation.
Ms Lin, Head of Chinese, said: “This is a fantastic achievement after weeks of hard work and continuous preparation with the Chinese department – well done, Arun!”
